I simply adore the new label Teija, so I was ecstatic that I was able to steal some time with the Fashion Fringe runner up, Teija Eilola at her East London studio this week to see a sneak preview of her much anticipated Autumn/Winter 2013 collection.
This is Teija’s second collection, with her successful Spring/Summer 2013 collection currently in stores at the moment. The label represents beautiful, high quality clothes, which combine versatility, with comfort while remaining chic at the same time.
Teija explained she spends a great deal of time making sure each design fits like a glove. and every single piece has something different to say. As Teija put it ‘I want my designs to be able to stand on their own’. Teija has certainly nailed that with her new Autum/Winter collection.
I found it impossible to pick a favourite item as they are all stand out pieces in my opinion. The collection combines a neutral colour palette along with reds, bronze and some metallic. Fabrics used in the collection range from silks, alpaca wool, to leather. The whole collection feels luxurious yet very wearable with a minimalist feel and a sprinkling of Nordic folk law magic.
